Google Teams Up With TP Link for Onhub

Google and TP Link have developed a new Wi-Fi router in partnership. The new router named Onhub, has a cylindrical shape without any wires and blinking lights. The device has built in (not visible from the outside) antennas and lights. Google wants users to put the router out in the open to make sure that it really gives out optimal internet speed to you. Google and TP are both hoping that this new router will give out exceptional performance. Here is what Google’s official blog had to say about it, “"During setup, OnHub searches the airwaves and selects the best channel for the fastest connection. A unique antenna design and smart software keep working in the background, automatically adjusting OnHub to avoid interference and keep your network at peak performance. You can even prioritize a device, so that your most important activity - like streaming your favorite show - gets the fastest speed." You can also control this device via the android smartphone app called Google On. The app is also available for the iPhone users. Besides the ordinary stuff of getting connected, you can also check details about the bandwidth every device is using, and conducting health checks on your network. In case you get any Wi-Fi connectivity issues, it also offers you tips and troubleshooting advice. There can be many reasons behind why Google is experimenting with such a device. However, we all know the next big thing to go global on a worldwide scale will be internet of things, where everything will be connected to the internet. And probably Google is preparing itself to be able to get the big check of that market share which is yet to come to ordinary usage. The device is currently costing $ 199.9 and only available in the US for now. Retailers like Amazon have it on stock where global users can get their hands on it. And hopefully like everything else, this Google TP Link Router will end up in the UAE black market sooner rather than later.
